Congratulations on registering for The Main Event! We acknowledge you for saying YES to growing yourself as a coach, whether you are brand new to this profession or many years in.
This 2-day workshop (3, if you’re doing the VIP Day too) will be rigorous and FUN. You will receive pre-work to be completed prior to our time together - you can be on the lookout for this 10 days before we’re all together.
Please note The Main Event will be filled with a waiting list. If for any reason you’re unable to attend, please let us know so that a coach on the waiting list can participate.

Our event is being held at Hotel MdR (a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel) at 13480 Maxella Avenue, Marina Del Rey. Hotel MDR is part urban oasis, part city-centered escape. It's located steps away from the marina, minutes from the beach, and just a short drive from LA; the perfect hub for travelers visiting Southern California.
Friday: Registration is from 9:45-10:00am PST. We start at 10:00am PST and we'll go until 5:00pm PST with a 90-minute lunch break and AM/PM breaks.
Saturday: 10:00am PST -5:00pm PST with a 90-minute lunch break and AM/PM breaks.
Sunday (VIP Participants Only): We'll start at 11:00am PST and we'll end at around 3:00pm PST.
Note that all ending times are approximate.
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the closest airport with direct bus service, shuttles and Uber/Lyft options. Rates for shuttles between LAX and Marina Del Rey start at approximately $25 per person each way, not including tip. Uber/Lyft is approx. $46 each way. Shuttles are located on the lower level of the airport.
Complimentary self-parking is available for all participants.
Yes. Our reduced rate with Hotel MdR is $189 per night plus taxes/fees. To book your room, go here to book your room prior to March 25, 2022. If you have questions regarding your room reservation, please call the hotel at 310-822-8555 and ask to speak to Gloria Estrada (mention that you’re attending The Main Event).
The hotel has a good restaurant. There are several places to eat nearby too.
J Nichols (sit down restaurant, sandwiches, burgers and salads)
Sharkeys (Mexican)
Tender Greens (healthy salads and more)
The Counter (burgers)
Le Pain Quotidien (cafe with sandwiches, salads, breakfast food)
You’re encouraged to bring your own tea/coffee/snacks. Water will be provided for all participants.
Dress comfortably. We'll be indoors with air conditioning, so we recommend that you bring a sweater or a light jacket. No fancy dress code required here - be yourself.
We will continue to monitor the spread of COVID-19 and will notify you if there are any schedule changes as soon as possible. For the safety of all in attendance, if someone is sick with cold or cough symptoms, they will be asked to withdraw from the event.
Vaccination or proof of negative COVID test. We require that you either a) be vaccinated or b) that you send us a negative COVID test (a test which is to be taken no more than 3 days prior to the event). If you are vaccinated, please send proof of vaccination to gayle@devonbandison.com as soon as possible. If you will be submitting a negative COVID test, please email gayle@devonbandison.com to let her know you'll be sending that any time after March 29, 2022.
As the date of the event approaches, we will assess the COVID-19 situation and if necessary, will set up seating to maintain the flow of the event while maintaining social distance and conduct temperature checks.
Masks. As we will be collecting proof of vaccination/negative COVID tests from all participants beforehand, we are not requiring masks in the conference room. However, you are welcome to continue wearing a mask if you prefer to do so.
Personal Responsibility. In the spirit of changing your game and changing the world, we ask that you care for yourself and others, before, during, and after the event.

To be considered for one of the 16 spaces in the VIP event on Sunday, the next step is to send an e-mail to: carolynfreyerjones@gmail.com and devon.bandison@gmail.com. Share with Carolyn and Devon how long you’ve been coaching for, why you'd like to participate in this smaller gathering, and what you imagine you'll get from being there. You'll receive a response within 48-72 hrs regarding whether you have secured a space along with the payment next steps. Note - this is an intimate gathering, not everyone who writes will have an opportunity to participate.
This event is non-refundable. However, if you need to cancel due to medical emergency, please reach out to my team and we'd be happy to issue you a credit for a future event.
We'll provide the workbooks and pens. All you really need is a willingness to play full out!
